Can these companies conceive, develop and market products for women if there aren’t any women around to contribute?”

With technology driving our economy, the need for STEM talent will only increase. This provides a huge opportunity for women. With the demand for STEM skills outpacing supply, women have more freedom to choose the company and career path that best suits them. In many cases, it also means higher pay.
Encouraging Girls in STEM
When students begin thinking about college and a career path, they’re influenced by family and friends, but teachers and counselors play a big part, too. If you’re in any of these roles, help girls understand the opportunities. If possible, connect them with a female mentor who can speak first-hand and provide valuable advice.
Encourage girls to learn more about STEM through after-school programs, clubs and summer camps. Whether they ultimately choose a STEM career or go a different route, the skills they gain are beneficial no matter their career choice.
