2018-12-12 Brainy Bytes is a growing education company based out of Atlanta. We currently have two locations and are looking for entrepreneurs with a passion for STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) to join the Brainy Bites network. Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of our licensees, the student they teach and their communities.
Founded in 2010, we continue to be the Atlanta area’s leading (and fun!) choice in quality STEM education. Brainy Bytes was born out of a passion to provide children with fun and exciting ways to learn, create and invent in the world of technology.
Brainy Bytes History
Founder and CEO, Ena Hackaday, saw a need for technology education when her son developed an interest in gaming. Opportunities for him to learn more about the subject were limited, so Ena decided to develop a program where a child’s passion in technology would be fostered in an exciting and dynamic learning environment. The first Brainy Bytes program opened in Northwest Atlanta, and now covers Woodstock, Canton, Marietta, Roswell, Kennesaw and Acworth. Our second location in North Atlanta provides programs in Alpharetta and Cumming. In 2018, we poised ourselves to grow beyond the Atlanta area by offering a nationwide licensing package that’s low cost, has a quick ROI and does not require a brick and mortar location.
STEM Programs for Kindergarten and Up
Brainy Bytes offers afterschool and home school classes, summer camps, year-round camps, weekend workshops, private events and birthday parties. We have developed curriculum that is challenging and creative for ages kindergarten through high school. Classes and camps cover a variety of STEM subjects such as robotics, engineering, storytelling, game creation, media, graphic design and 3D animation. We use tools like LEGO, Minecraft, drones and 3D printing to connect with students and spark their imaginations. Our lesson plans are unique and designed to be fun and flexible. Additionally, we take activities from our classes and camps and use them for private events and birthday parties that make for a one-of-a-kind experience.
Education Licensing Opportunities
As school budgets shrink, families and communities are looking for ways to provide additional STEM education and activities for students. Training the next generation for careers in these areas is critical, and there is a need for private business to fill the gap. According to research from Afterschool Alliance, STEM jobs are driving global economic growth and 7 million students are exploring STEM in afterschool.
